"Not Me Monday!"

I decided to start participating in Not Me, Monday! It's lots of fun and hilarious to read others! So here goes mine!

I absolutely did NOT clean my baby up with a baby wipe instead of giving her a bath just because it was quicker! Who would ever do such?! NOT ME!

I did not let perfectly good leftovers go to waste just because I didn't really feel like putting them up! So wasteful, I would never do that!

I did not make my 3 yr old get down out of my lap so I could play on the computer, because mothers should always put their kids before computer time. No way, not me!

I did not let my kids eat leftover pizza(from 2 nights ago) for supper because I didn't want to cook tonight!

I totally do not still give my 20 month old a bottle at night because she is my last baby and I just want her to stay that way just a little longer! That would be so selfish, and not to mention very irresponsible as a parent!

And finally, I surely did not just get up and go start my dryer over for 15 more minutes so that I could finish this post instead of putting the laundry up first like I needed too!

Join in the Not Me Monday fun!!

This made me laugh. My sister is four and a half and sometimes, I "wash" her up with a handful of wipes when I'm babysitting because she's just gonna get messy again... :)

Weeksie50 September 29, 2008 at 1:40 AM

I hate leftovers..
Wipes are the best.. bath in a box

Crackin me up girl! Love the baby wipe bath! I've done that!

Mike and Katie September 29, 2008 at 8:35 AM

If it's socially acceptable (in some cirles) to breastfeed beyond one or two years, how is that different than bottle feeding?

Hold on to those snuggling moments as long as you can!

Sugar-n-Spice September 29, 2008 at 9:00 AM

i so would totally not ever use a wipie instead of a bath! never! ;) (um, don't sniff too deeply while standing next to my kids!)

that was funny. i might try sometime....(you know, in all my spare time.

I did not just laugh my butt off because I have done everyone of the things you listed here. Nope Not me!

Oh! And thanks for visiting my blog! Come back soon!

Destini September 29, 2008 at 10:57 AM

It's kind of liberating, isn't it? Thanks for the smiles! I have Not done a lot of those same things, too!

Lori September 29, 2008 at 11:06 AM

leftover pizza for dinner sounds good to me

Rose September 29, 2008 at 11:48 AM

Oh I so do the same thing with the leftovers!

Melissa September 29, 2008 at 11:54 AM

Hi! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. PMS works at least once a month for an excuse for all bad behavior in my house.LOL :O)
Ha ha! I've done many of the things you've listed before! I've used the wipes before and thrown left overs away because I didn't feel like finding different containers for everything.

Lisa September 29, 2008 at 12:15 PM

Ok, I am right there with you on the first 2. You have a beautiful family by the way!!

Anonymous,  September 29, 2008 at 12:21 PM

Tonya September 29, 2008 at 12:44 PM

Jennifer..

I LOVED your "Not Me" post.. too funny! (I wouldn't do those things either.. who am I kidding?? I SO WOULD!) HA!!

In looking over your blog I noticed the photo of your sister and you. You guys are both very pretty. My sis is probably my bestest friend! O:-)

Thanks for stopping by and for leaving me a comment - it was SO NICE TO "MEET YOU."

Ordinary Mom September 29, 2008 at 1:00 PM

I so did not do the same thing and read everyone's posts! This is so much fun!! Love your post...I can really relate.

Gina September 29, 2008 at 1:02 PM

I am slightly scared as I read your blog, because we seem so similiar! Wow! Your inspirational quotes are great. Your kids are about the same ages as mine, I have a son from a first marriage (abusive and ended) and 3 daughters from my wonderful hubbie now. He is almost 9 (my son not my hubby!) and smart-mouthed and can be mean to his sisters, the girls are 5.5, 2.5 and 10 mo. And I think they are crazy tired after all day at school and minding the rules there. So they act out at home... because they can. I am NOT inconsistent ever with my discipline with four kids!

I look forward to keeping up with you on your blog. What a joy to read, thank you!

Me again..

I have a similar confession about my profile photo. It was made almost FOUR years ago. I really only used it because it's one of the FEW I have of Brent & Me. I keep thinking I'll update it, but then I'm ALWAYS HOPING I'll get SERIOUS and lose some MAJOR weight! (I've gained quite a few pounds since then)

Now, to admit what a dork I am, I TOTALLY FORGOT to comment on your beautiful babes! (I truly am the most forgetful person I know.. I think - I don't remember.. HA!)

I've wished MANY times that I'd have not had my tubes tied.. I SO WANT MORE KIDS NOW! (My hubby doesn't so I guess it's all whatever the LORD wants) =-)

lmashe81 September 29, 2008 at 1:26 PM

I have never started the dryer over because I wasn't ready to fold laundry...lol...not never. It made me laugh too. Lefter over pizza is the best!!

Aimee' September 29, 2008 at 1:36 PM

I'm thinking about using a baby wipe tonight. Love the list, your kids are beautiful.

Liz {Learning To Juggle} September 29, 2008 at 8:41 PM

Ha ha...if it wasn't for wipes my boys would always have dirty faces!! Sometimes the effort of a full bath just isn't worth it!!

I have done the laundry thing. It drives my husband crazy!

Heidi @ Tayterjaq's Rebels September 29, 2008 at 10:10 PM

My dryer did the extra 15 minutes thing about 3 times today. Unfortunately, no diapers mean no wipes sitting around for easy cleaning....bummer. :-)
Thanks for visiting and commenting my blog. Nice to "meet" you.

Mom of these kids September 29, 2008 at 10:24 PM

Kelsey September 30, 2008 at 12:06 AM

Baby wipe baths are the best time saver ever!
At least you've never had the 3 year old sit in the sink to take a "bath". Not that I'm guilty of that or anything..

Loved "meeting" you from your comment!

You're kids are adorable by the way!

Tracy September 30, 2008 at 6:06 AM

What great "Not Me's"! I have to not try the dryer thinking I usually just "don't" put the laundry in a huge pile in our den until it builds up so much that it takes me 4 hours to fold! Luckily hubby's work shoirts go to the dry cleaners.

Beth E. September 30, 2008 at 7:12 AM

Thanks for commenting on my blog. And believe me, if I hadn't put on a bra, they definitely would have noticed! lol
