Start of a new healthy Christian Life

O.K. So I've been wanting to get my family in church for awhile now. We went to Calvery Baptist a couple weeks ago and it was nice. I am looking for a small church, but not so small that my kids are the only kids attending. I would like there to be kids, my kids age that they can interact with and have a good Christian influence. I am a member of Pauline Baptist, although I haven't attended in a very long time, but I feel it may be a little big for my likings now. I am thinking about Journey...courtesy of the great feedback from Shelley. If anyone else has suggestions, that would be great! I plan on attending somewhere this Sunday, so I need feedback quick! Thanks to all!

I am kind of bias to Journey. It is a great small church where you can feel like home the moment you walk through the doors. No "I'm a Visitor " stickers handed out. I am not big on bigger churches where you get overlooked. Journey is my home.

Well, I am a member of Journey too, and so I also am bias. lol We went to First Presbyterian for years before making the switch. I couldn't agree more with Lou. Having three kids myself, it is FANTASTIC to come to church and not be the one with "all of those kids." Everyone there loves (or seems to love lol) children. I can say that I am the Children's Coordinator and our lessons for 2nd graders and down are AMAZING! They really learn, they really get it. (and it's so fun!) We don't 'make' kids sit through church until they reach 3rd grade... I love that!

One word of caution... you WILL make changes if you attend Journey, based upon my own experience and what I've seen from others. If you're content to be content, you may not be ready. lol Hearing God's word in such easy to understand teachings and being called to a greater purpose is something Journey's leaders to quite well.

We would LOVE to see you!! If you want, our women's group is meeting (at Journey) on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm for a "bible study" type thing. Our first official one is this coming Wednesday and you are more than welcome to come and meet just us girls if you want. :) Otherwise, you know we'd all love to have you, and the kids, Sunday. :)

There's a zillion kids. And you wouldn't even be the only one with more than two.
Mandy has three, Brandy has six.

Lou has two, Misty has two, the Fearers have two. There's plenty of little ones. I don't know if Stratton knows the McKinstry boys or Sam English, but they are there, and so are Sam and Adelyn Noble.

You need to bring the boys to bible school next weekend, too.

I have nursery on the fourth Sundays. Everyone takes turns teaching the little kids. It's a unique place. Not somewhere that you can just sit down, listen to a sermon, and slide out, though. YOu gotta be hands on, or Journey won't work!
